Welcome to All About Dogs, where my passion for dog training meets a commitment to helping you and your canine companion build a lasting bond.
My dog training journey began in 2020, when I got my first puppy and realised that she wasn't the sort of dog to just sleep all day!!
I decided that I wanted to use my experience (dog training and teaching qualifications) to support families in creating a harmonious home environment and a fulfilling life for their dogs.
I specialise in personalised dog training sessions that cater to your pet's unique needs and temperament. I believe every dog is special, and my aim is to unlock their potential, while ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for both of you.
At All About Dogs, I take pride in creating training programmes that are tailored to suit each dog's personality and learning style. Whether you're dealing with a new puppy, an older dog needing refreshers, or a rescue with special requirements, I'm dedicated to providing effective strategies that work.
My approach focuses on positive reinforcement, games and choice/consent, and building the skills that our dogs need to be able to thrive and not just survive.
So, What Is Games-Based Training?
At All About Dogs, our motto is “games shape brains'. Games-Based training uses the power of games to re-shape your dog’s brain, grow their skills and turn existing struggles into strengths.
We recognise that calm, confident, and optimistic dogs will make great choices and by playing short, 2–3 minute games daily to shape a particular skill, your dog will start to make these great choices wherever they are.
This type of training is fun for you and your dog and helps to build formidable relationships. By training concepts/skills FOR the situation , we are shaping the brain to be ready for when they are IN the situation.
